1K a year PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Mgr.
Retirement Plans as a human resources leader is responsible for developing and supporting the strategy, design, and development of all retirement plan programs.
This role partners with the organization's leaders and HR teams to implement and drive retirement standard processes and procedures ensuring programs are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and have a positive impact on short and long-term performance of the entire organization.

Retirement Plans directs the day to day activities of a staff of retirement plan professionals to ensure consistency in practices and communication of all related programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Evaluate the effectiveness of all retirement programs, policies, guidelines and procedures and recommend plan revisions or new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with trends and corporate objectives,' Coordinate communication, implementation and provide guidance surrounding retirement program guidelines to employees; retirement programs include and are not limited to 401k plans, non-qualified plans, traditional retirement plans, etc.
, Develops deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators.
This role is the strategic partner to our clients and advisors to provide creative solutions that meet business goals of retention, growth, and retirement readiness.
Oversee the communications activities of a team focused on the day-to-day administration of the company's retirement programs, providing guidance and direction to ensure work performed is compliant with all applicable policies, regulations and legal requirements.
Provide consulting expertise to clients on matters such as plan design, fiduciary responsibility, and operational compliance of legacy retirement matters for the company.
Support the Director of Benefits in Benefit related projects and implementations.
Develops and executes routine communications to all employees regarding the company's retirement plans, retirement planning and educational resources, vendor-provided services, etc.
Coordinates the planning and execution of all Retirement Committee meetings, to include the agenda, meeting material, invitations and minutes.
Ensure that all retirement plans are routinely reviewed for compliance, and audits are scheduled as needed.
Coordinate all annual filings that are required by the IRS and other agencies, ensuring that the company is in compliance with all annual retirement plan filings.
Conduct review with the company's 401(k) administrator and retirement plans manager at least annually, providing clear feedback and direction to these vendors, and hold them accountable for any agreed upon action plans.
May participate in meetings and relevant sub-committees for the development of related programs that improve employee participation, reduce company and employee costs; identify opportunities for improvement (i.
e.
processes, programs, cost savings, etc.
); develop, implement and communicate as appropriate.
Assist in the identification of compliance issues in retirement plans, calculate corrections and draft submissions for the IRS and DOL correction programs.
Partner with local leadership in negotiating retirement related terms for collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) as needed.
Interpret and apply laws, regulations, judicial precedent and other guidance.
Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train employees encouraging career development; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement Perform additional relevant duties as assigned SUPERVISOR

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
Required Education:
Bachelors' degree in Human Resources, Finance or other relevant discipline from an accredited institution or minimum of 10 years directly related experience; Masters' degree in related field preferred.
CEBS, PHR/SPHR preferred EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum seven (7) years' experience in the design and administration of multiple Retirement programs, Demonstrated leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to retirement (such as ERISA, Fiduciary responsibilities) Experience with vendor relations and multi-state employers with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions Experience in managing multiple benefit programs for union and non-union Strong computer knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HCM systems; experience with Workday preferred Ability to design and present information to all levels of the organization Strong customer focus with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to fluently communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency and is comfortable with multi-tasking, able to manage multi-step procedures, handle frequent interruptions in work flow and prioritization in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting professionalism and composure in stressful situations with a high level of confidentiality Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize Ability to work collaboratively with others, possessing tact and discretion and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality in all matters SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
